Dear Abbotts Hill Families,

Each week at Abbotts Hill Elementary School keeps getting better and better! I am so proud of our staff and students for getting excited about our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Program this year. We held our first assembly on Friday where our school mascot, Jaguar Jan, and the Jr. Cougar Cheerleaders greeted and cheered on the students. The students learned about the program and how they would be recognized for making good choices. Way to go Jaguars!

Please be reminded that our first Curriculum Night will be held this Thursday, August 22, 2024. Grades K-2 will meet from 5:30-6:15 pm and Grades 3-5 will meet from 7:00- 7:45 pm. There will be a general PTA Meeting held in the cafeteria from 6:20-6:50 pm. We hope to see you at Curriculum Night and at the PTA Meeting. We need you.

Also, be sure to read the Hilltop Happenings newsletter and additional information sent from Abbotts Hill Elementary and Fulton County Schools for information regarding inclement weather, school district news, redistricting, school nutrition, and much more.

We will have a table with spirit wear for sale. Cash and cards will be accepted.

For the PTA meeting, everyone is welcome! Come meet the new board and learn what your support and membership allows us to do. We will also discuss volunteer opportunities.

Staff Appreciation Donations:

We did the first staff lounge stock later week and it didn't last long! Please consider donating a gift card or item below towards this program. Any amount is appreciated and will help us keep this going on a regular basis. You can bring your donations to our table at curriculum night.

High demand items: Kroger or Publix gift cards, Coffee pods, soda, sparkling water, cases of individual snacks (trail mix, granola bars, pretzels, cookies)

Room Parents:

We are extending the sign up through Monday, August 26th. Due to an unexpected technical issue, we are having to start this process over. If you had filled out the form before, we will need you to complete it again to be considered.

We are looking for volunteers to help at the PBIS store the first 2 weeks it is open! Please take a look at the Sign Up Genius below if this is something you are interested in. This is a great way to spend some time with the kids and still get to work on time.

Please be reminded of the following information from our Student Handbook:

Students are expected to groom themselves in such a way as to reflect neatness, cleanliness, and good taste. All students shall be modestly groomed so as not to distract the attention of others or to cause disruption or interference with the educational program or the orderly operation of the school. Extremes in dress will not be permitted. The principal or other duly authorized school official shall determine whether any mode of dress or grooming results in violation of the spirit and intent of this rule.
